Kinshasa Heat Congolese Style Hot Sauce is based on an ancient family recipe which traces back to the beginning of the 20th century in the Bas-Congo region, near Kinshasa. Cunga, my former sous-chef, taught me her family’s recipe for which I am very grateful. She is a dear friend and inspired me to perfect this truly amazing sauce into an allround flavour enhancer for all your daily meals. So diverse and deep with flavour, it’s too good not to share. Making and ‘bottling’ this sauce is in an intense process, we produce in small batches to get the quality you deserve. At the same time we are on a journey to get more involved and promote Congolese culture and products.
Kinshasa Heat is really great with anything but most definitely try it with/on bread, sandwiches, pasta’s, pizza’s, grilled veggies and meat, chicken and in dip sauces. I eat it every single day on my bread or with eggs. Zeker proberen op een smoske! During dinner, this jar has a place in the middle of our table. I hope you enjoy it too!
